In 2015, we wended our way from the south-west finger of England, which points out into the Atlantic, to the northern corner of mainland Scotland leading to the Orkneys, meeting up with family and friends on the way. It was our first overseas cycle trip, which meant having to think (and learn) about transporting our bikes by air.
