Incheon to nr Cheongju – Chungcheongbuk-Do

It was delightful to be greeted by the family at Incheon Airport and we then drove south towards our first Hanok, stopping, on the way, for cold buckwheat noodles, a summer speciality. Ordering and payment was done from screen at the table and the food was delivered by robot. This, in a restaurant just off the highway in the countryside near Cheonan.

The traditional house was charming and comfortable although I got the bed with a mattress while the others slept on mats on the floor.

Wildlife notes: Oriental Magpie, Oriental Turtle Dove, Brown-eared Bulbul (all common but lifers for me)
